Adiah Oyefesobi, CNM

Homebirth Midwife servicing Triad and Triangle areas of North Carolina

I’m Mississippi-born but Texas-raised. I relocated to North Carolina in 2019 and it could not have been a better decision. My husband, Yomi, and I reside in Mebane, North Carolina with our son and daughter. Since I was young, I have always served the needs of others. I am passionate about birth and the right to choose your path. My story is not complicated. I honestly don’t know when or how I ended up serving the needs of women. My maternal and paternal grandmothers were granny home-birth midwives so maybe it’s in the genes. My birth story was less than optimal so maybe my commitment stems from a need to make sure others have a better experience. Whatever the reason, I know I am dedicated to helping you have the homebirth of your dreams!

I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Baylor University.  I spent about 3 years as an Emergency Department nurse before seeking my master’s degree. I attended Texas Woman’s University and finished with a Master of Science in Nursing and was certified as a Womens Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) in 2008. After practicing as a WHNP for about 8 years, I returned to midwifery school. I completed post-graduate work at Texas Tech University and became a Certified Nurse Midwife in 2017. I have a total of 16 years of experience in womens health. I have attended over 400 births in a variety of settings, including homebirth.
