Dr. Amy McMillion

Amy graduated from Elon University in 2015 with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and soon completed her Pelvic Health Certification through Evidence In Motion in 2017. She treated both orthopedic and pelvic health symptoms in both Greensboro and Durham before settling in downtown Graham, NC in April 2019. Here, she opened Graham Physical Therapy in order to provide hour long, one-on-one treatment sessions for orthopedic and pelvic health symptoms.

Amy not only serves to help moms who need pelvic health physical therapy, but also strives to educate the public about pelvic health symptoms. Pelvic floor physical therapy treats a wide range of symptoms that people often do not talk about. The most common pregnancy and postpartum pelvic floor symptoms are body pains, pain with sex, urinary and/or fecal incontinence, and prolapse. Pelvic floor physical therapy is standard postpartum care in many countries and a pelvic floor exam 6 weeks after delivery may prevent many postpartum symptoms before they arise.

She strongly believes that God puts you where you need to be. She is passionate about serving the pregnant and postpartum moms in our community and she loves to teach about the human body and the pelvic floor.

She and her husband love exploring all of the new places popping up in and around Graham where they live with their toddler and dog.
